Lt. Dan Nelson of the Salvation Army presented the Bellringer Award tot he Danville Rotary Club on January 23, 2009. Margaret Levi accepted on behalf of the club.
Rotary raised over $11,000 for the Salvation Army in one week, despite being unable to ring the bell on two days because of bad weather. The total was helped by Danville Office Equipment and Community Trust Bank's generosity in matching donations to the kettles on certain days. |
